Series Introduction

Our Midwives (left to right) Nathalie Pambrun, Darlene Birch, Cheryllee Bourgeois

Welcome to 'Midwifery is a Red River.' This series explores the deep connections between Métis midwifery and the Red River. We honour the river's role in our culture, celebrate its lifeblood, and pay tribute to Indigenous traditions. Join us in rekindling the wisdom of our ancestors and protecting the sacred waters that sustain life. Join us in Darlene's kitchen and listen to our midwives discuss the stories of where they come from and the importance of Métis Midwifery.

We recommend listening to this episode first before listening to Episode 1.
